Children’s Ministry

Kids were important to Jesus and kids are important to us! We have great programs for children on Sunday mornings, AWANA on Wednesday nights, and various special children’s activities throughout the year! Please contact the church office for more information on our Children’s Ministry. 

Kids Church (Sunday mornings)
 
Sunday mornings start at 8:30am with Jr. Kids Church for 3,4, & 5 year olds, and Kidz Church for 1st-5th graders. Both of these structured classes include Bible lessons and exciting activities that reinforce the lessons.
 
Sunday School (Sunday mornings)
 
After a transition time of 15 minutes, Sunday School classes begin at 10:10am. There are various classes which include age groups of 2 & 3 year olds, 4 & 5 year olds, 1st & 2nd graders, and 3rd-5th graders. In each class, students are taught Scripture-based lessons using various Sunday School curriculum. Each curriculum
reinforces the lesson using activity pages and creative
enrichments.
 
Kids on a Mission (Sunday nights)
 
Kids On A Mission is held on Sunday nights during the school year. This program involves kids from age four up through 5th grade. Each night kids learn a specific Bible truth followed up by a craft, snack and organized games.
 
AWANA (Wednesday nights)

Special Children’s Events

  
Throughout the year, there are many special events for our children. During the month of June, school age kids can go away to Mahaffey Kids Camp, a week-long fun-filled camp located in Mahaffey, Pennsylvania.

 

In August, Vacation Bible School is a week-long event held at the church. For two hours each night, four-year-olds through 5th graders can participate in Bible lessons, games, snacks, and crafts designed around a special theme.

 

Beginning in September, kids start rehearsing their singing and speaking parts and for the Children’s Christmas Program in December.

 

A few other special events for kids include the Fall Harvest Celebration and WinterFest. During these times, kids can be involved in various exciting activities including the dunk tank, pie throwing contests, mini-golf, and more.
